Something Funny:

When our children were very young, we were in Chicago for the weekend and needed to find a place for lunch.  The girls were getting very fussy, so we stopped in at a pizza place.  It turned out to be a very upscale pizza place, but we were tired and the kids were hungry, so we asked for a table.  The  hostess looked at our children as if they were creatures from another planet and asked us twice if we were sure we were in the right place.  Finally, they decided to seat us….in the backroom.  It was obviously an old banquet room and all the chairs were on top of tables.  They cleared a table for us and we ordered.  Mike had to run to the nearby drugstore for something and while he was out the hostess came rushing in, apologized to Lynne, and begged her to take a table in the main part of the restaurant.  Having just settled the kids into the seats, she said no.  The manager then entered and again begged her to move.  She said no again and then to her surprise, actress Sandra Bullock entered the room.  She smiled and said she didn’t mind sharing the room with us.  After making a few kind comments about our daughters, she sat down and ate lunch with a friend, occasionally bending down to pick up a toy dropped/thrown by one of our toddlers.
